Alessandra de Marchena, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Associate Therapist
Alessandra de Marchena is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides evidence-based therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from New York University and a Master’s in Child Developmental Psychology from Sarah Lawrence College. Her approach is grounded in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Multisystemic Therapy for Substance Abuse (MST-SA), having completed intensive training in both models.
Alessandra brings over a decade of experience working across a range of clinical settings. She previously served as a supervisor for the MST-SA program at Montefiore Medical Center, where she continues to supervise conferences for multiple hospital-based programs. Her work is informed by a systems-based lens that honors the role of context, culture, and environmental stressors in shaping behavior and emotion.
In therapy, Alessandra combines warmth with a solution-focused mindset. She partners with clients to understand what’s getting in the way of long-term goals and empowers them to make meaningful change at a sustainable pace. She is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, individualized care that reflects both the science of behavior change and the humanity of the people she serves.
