Licensed Master Social Worker, Associate Therapist

Leo Massey is a Licensed Master Social Worker who provides evidence-based therapy to adolescents and adults. He earned his Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and has received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech Institute under the supervision of DBT expert André Ivanoff, Ph.D. His approach also draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), psychodynamic therapy, and exposure-based treatments.

Leo brings an empathetic, direct, and collaborative style to therapy. He places particular importance on developing an authentic therapeutic relationship while helping clients identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, develop practical strategies for managing difficult thoughts and emotions, and work toward meaningful change.

Leo has experience working with anxiety, trauma, depression, emotion dysregulation, self-harm, ADHD, grief, and identity-related concerns. He specializes in working with neurodivergent adolescents and adults and is particularly passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals, adolescents and young adults, and members of Jewish and Israeli communities. He has pursued additional training focused on providing culturally responsive care to these populations.

Before entering the mental health field, Leo worked in the entertainment industry, giving him additional familiarity with the unique pressures faced by individuals working in creative and entertainment-oriented careers.
